Signed at the end of September, Hauschka's time was clearly up after he whiffed on two field goal tries on back-to-back drives that would have given the Jaguars a 13-7 lead at the half. Jon Brown, already Jacksonville's fifth kicker this year, was promoted to the active roster in a corresponding move.

Coach Doug Maroone called Hauschka's injury "general soreness" and believes his kicker will be a game-time decision. If he can't kick, Aldrick Rosas will fill in. Rosas was signed to the practice squad this Monday. 

Jacksonville moved Josh Lambo to injured reserve last week and promoted rookie Brandon Wright from the practice squad, but the latter was injured Thursday night against Miami. Hauschka was last released by the Bills, who decided to move forward with rookie Tyler Bass, in August.

The Titans also brought in former New England kicker Stephen Gostkowski recently. Hauschka has been below 80 percent on his field goals for the past two seasons while Gostkowski hasn't dipped under that mark since 2010. The Bills released Hauschka after rookie Tyler Bass won the kicker camp battle in Buffalo. Whoever Tennessee signs is likely to take the starting job from the incumbent kicker, Greg Joseph.
