Lions have waived CB Bill Bentley.
This season, Bentley has one combined tackle in two games this season. Paula Pasche who is a Lions beat writer at The Oakland Press tweeted, "Lions released CB Bill Bentley today. Claimed off waivers on Nov. 18 - was inactive last 4 games." It is unknown why the Lions released him, but there is a chance that he is claimed off waivers by another team. Check Fantasy Alarm in the upcoming weeks to see if that happens.
The Lions have signed CB Bill Bentley.
The Lions waived Bentley back in June after appearing in just 18 games since 2013. He was the 85th overall pick in the 2012 draft by the Lions but after a torn ACL and other lingering injuries, he hasn't reached his full potential. Bentley must have gotten a clean bill of health and will provide depth to Detroit's secondary. Darius Slay and Rashean Mathis will continue as the team's starting corner backs and Quandre Diggs in the slot.
Lions are reportedly re-signing CB Bill Bentley.
The Lion shakeup in the coaching staff and front office leads to this move. Bentley is coming back from serious surgery on his torn ACK.
Bill Bentley worked out for the Colts.
Bentley the former draft pick of the Detroit Lions was waived by them earlier in the summer as he just was not the same player after tearing his ACL last year. The Colts will give him a look to see if he could bolster their secondary.
