Update: Byron Maxwell (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game.
Maxwell has been dealing with an ankle injury for the past three weeks and was considered to be questionable for today's game, and it appears as though he will be inactive today against the Steelers. Maxwell was one of Miami's starting corners, and they will undoubtedly miss him today against the Steelers fantastic passing game. Bobby McCain and Tony Lippett should both see an uptick in playing time today with Maxwell sidelined.
Byron Maxwell will test out his ankle sprain to see if he can play Sunday.
Maxwell has missed the Dolphins past two games due to an ankle injury and it appears as though he'll test the injury out before the game and see if he can go. With so much riding on this game, the injury would have to be severely bothering him in order for him to sit out, and the Dolphins could certainly use him in the lineup against a potent Pittsburgh passing game.
Byron Maxwell (ankle) did not practice on Friday.
With Maxwell missing practice every day this week it seems like his status against the Steelers is unlikely. That being said players tend to do whatever they can in order to play in the playoffs. Since Maxwell left the Seahawks he has been a disappointment with the Eagles and the Dolphins but any help against the Steelers high powered offense will be needed.
Byron Maxwell (ankle) did not practice on Thursday.
Maxwell was a huge reason why the Dolphins were able to limit Antonio Brown to one catch for six yards the first time the two teams matched up against one another. He's trying extremely hard to get back onto the field in time for this weekend's playoff game.
