Jayron Hosley
Player News
Jayron Hosley left the Week 4 game with a head injury and was evaluated for concussion.
Hosley suffered the injury during today's win over the Bills. We will update you on his situation once the team reveals more information in the next couple days.
With Walter Thurmond (pectoral) and Trumaine McBride (thumb) on injured reserve, Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Jayron Hosley will be the next player getting the chance to lock down the role as the team's nickel corner.
With Zack Bowman likely filling in at cornerback for the injured Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Hosley is the next logical choice for the nickel corner spot. It doesn\'t really do anything for his IDP value as you\'re not going to rely on a part-timer who\'s only in the spot on a temporary basis. And no, he\'s not even worth the look for streaming purposes.
Update: Jayron Hosley (suspension) was reinstated Monday.
Hosley will back up Prince Amukamara on the corner but is also expected to be a big part of the nickel packages once again.
Giants expect to activate CB Jayron Hosley and add him to 53-man roster Monday.
No word yet as to who would be cut from the roster, but the Giants like the idea of bulking up their depth in the secondary. Hosley has finished his four-game suspension for violating the league\'s substance abuse policy and will work now as the back-up to Prince Amukamara.
