Player News
E.J. Biggers was released by the Patriots on Tuesday.
Biggers has been around the league in his six year career, however he was losing the dime CB battle to a couple of rookies. With a larger salary and questionable skillset, this decision became an easy one for coach Belichick. Best of luck to Biggers going forward.
Patriots sign free agent CB E.J. Biggers.
He is a veteran presence the Patriots needed in the back end of their defense and the typical Belichick signing we have become used to. Biggers is going into his eighth season in the league after being a seventh-round choice by Tampa Bay in 2009 and should function as a third or fourth corner in Foxboro.
CB E.J. Biggers has signed a one-year deal with the Eagles.
After spending the last two seasons with NFC East rival Washington, Biggers will bring depth to the Eagles secondary next season.
E.J. Biggers (concussion) will not play Sunday.
Biggers is a backup cornerback who will not be available this Sunday when the Redskins head to Indy to take on the Colts. He has split time between defense and special teams this season, and has 19 solo tackles as part of his 22 total tackles, with four pass deflections tossed in. Chase Minnifield will be the primary backup at cornerback Sunday.
