Asa Jackson

He walked off gingerly with a lower leg/ankle injury. Jackson was replaced by Don Carey and the Packers will look to exploit the loss.

Jackson is being signed off the Ravens practice squad to fill the roster spot vacated by Quandre Diggs. Jackson should be a depth piece and likely not in a starting role in the closing weeks of the season, however the Lions do need all hands on deck as they try and close out the NFC North division title.

The 26-year-old Jackson was a fifth round pick of the Ravens in 2012. They placed Asa Jackson on injured reserve on November 17th but just two days later, the two sides came to an injury settlement. He is a role player but was forced into heavy snaps in 2014 due to injuries. He is a fringe NFLer but the team needed depth in their defensive secondary.

Jackson was promoted to the active roster from the practice squad prior to the Week 11 gmae against Dallas. He did not see a snap on defense or special teams, and if he clears waivers, he could be resigned to the practice team, but right now, he has no fantasy utility.
