Cooper signed a contract with the Jets on Tuesday.
Cooper was released by the Lions on Monday, but his time on the open market hardly lasted a day. The seven-year NFL veteran will now compete for a likely depth role in the Jets' secondary.

Cooper spent the offseason with Detroit after starting two games with the Bears in 2018. The 29-year-old cornerback will now search for a depth role elsewhere in the league.
