Chris Cook

The 28-year old cornerback should find some depth work somewhere in the NFL, though his level of impact on a team is fairly minimal. He's been a pretty big disappointment over the last five years and has never appeared in more than 12 games in a season. Regardless of where he ends up, he is not going to be someone who warrants any fantasy consideration.

It's been a disappointing five years for Cook and it all culminated with a hamstring tear that limited him to just six games last season. The club will move on from him and look for someone younger and with more upside for the depth in the secondary.

Cook struggled with health and playing time last season, but he has talent and could be effective given the chance. He'll likely fight for a lead backup role at cornerback.

It looks like the 49ers are losing Perrish Cox and some other components of their secondary, so they need to start looking at corner help a little more. Cook only appeared in six games for them last year and then landed on IR with a hamstring issue. With nothing recent, they may be looking elsewhere.
