Tharold Simon

After being claimed off of waivers Wednesday by the Arizona Cardinals, CB Tharold Simon could be active, d join his new team on the field by Week four. Simon has struggled in his last two season with Seattle in staying healthy, only playing in 11 games in that time. Assuming he is over the knee injury that plagued him, he will have a chance to rejuvenate his career when joining former LSU teammates on the field in Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu.

Simon was just waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday after being inactive during their Week 1 contest against the Dolphins. The Cardinals were in need of depth at corner and Simon gives them that depth although he has played just one game since 2014.

After being inactive for the Seahawks week one match up against the Dolphins, and missing practice earlier in the week with a knee injury, Seattle has decided to part ways with CB Tharold Simon. This leaves the Seahawks with just four cornerbacks on the depth chart.

Simon appeared in just one game for the Seahawks in 2015 and has been a walking injury throughout his career. It's good news that he's healthy and looking good during OTA's, but it's still several months before the start of the season. Simon is competing to be the Seahawks' third cornerback which would allow him to see plenty of action in the nickel formation.
