Greg Toler
Player News
Washington CB Greg Toler (head) is heading to locker room.
Washington is already without Quinton Dunbar and now they could possibly be without Toler's services the rest of the way. He will likely be evaluated for a concussion and if that's the case, he won't be able to return to action until he gets a thumbs up from the medical staff. Consider him questionable to return.
Redskins signed cornerback Greg Toler to a 1-year deal.
In an effort to shore up the defensive backfield, the Redskins have added a veteran in free agency. Greg Toler has signed a 1-year deal to come back near where he played his high school football with Washington. Toler has recorded 251 tackles during his career with eight interceptions, four forced fumbles, two sacks and one fumble recovery. He has also scored three touchdowns. Toler will look to help a Redskins secondary.
Greg Toler is visiting the Redskins Wednesday.
Toler would join the mix in the Redskins defensive backfield and battle for playing time if he ends up signing with them. Toler finished with 51 combined tackles and 10 passes defended in 10 games last season for the Colts.
Greg Toler will visit with the Dolphins on Friday.
In an effort to bolster the 21st ranked defense in regards to passing yards allowed, they have brought in a veteran free agent cornerback. Although Toler has not played a full season in the past two seasons, he may be appealing to Miami in regards to the defensive backfield. During his 25 games the last two years, Toler has recorded 108 tackles, two interceptions and a sack. He may be a deep threat liability, but for the Dolphins, Toler may represent the veteran presence they need at corner.
