Nolan Carroll
Player News
Carroll signed a three-year, $10 million contract with the Cowboys on Friday, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports.
Nolan Caroll says returning to Philadelphia is "out of his control."
Technically Carroll is correct. It will be in the control of his agent and the Eagles. the cornerback had an interception and a forced fumble on the year to add to 55 tackles. He is a free agent this year.
Nolan Carroll has had preliminary contract discussions with the Eagles.
Carroll was the best corner on a defense that ranks 18th against the pass heading into Week 17. Last offeseason, Carroll signed a one year deal with the Eagles hoping he could prove he could stay healthy for a season and earn a longer deal. He was able to suit up for 90% of the defensive snaps, so it stands to reason he held up his end of the bargain, and should be back in Philly as the Eagles are in need of corners.
Nolan Carroll has cleared the league's concussion protocol.
Now that he's passed the protocol, he's on his way to playing in Week 11 against the Seahawks. Carroll's been decent for the Eagles this year, making 28 tackles and picking off one pass. He should draw a lot of matchups against Jermaine Kearse and Tyler Lockett.
