Kyle Wilson
Player News
Saints have placed Kyle Wilson on injured reserve.
Wilson, who was a former first round pick of the Jets back in 2010, was placed on the injured reserve today, which will end his 2016 season before it even began. The 29-year-old cornerback's reason for going on the injured reserve is unknown, and at this point of the season teams are under no obligation to disclose injury information so it might be a while before we really know what's wrong with him. He appeared in 14 games with the Saints, making four starts, and had one interception and 25 tackles last season.
Saints have re-signed Kyle Wilson to a one-year deal.
Wilson is a former first round pick of the Jets though he was deemed a bust in New York. He did manage to give the Saints decent play out of the slot and special teams for 2015 and thus earned another year in town. At 29 his career is on it's downslope and unless he really shows something this season it could be his last in the league.
Free-agent CB Kyle Wilson signed a one-year deal with the Saints.
Wilson has played his entire career with the Jets and has yet to miss a game, so he will definitely find himself on the field quite a bit. He won't have an every down role with the Saints, but should be able to contribute on most weeks.
Jets are not expected to bring back cornerback Kyle Wilson.
Wilson has struggled his entire career with the Jets, so they are going to let him walk. He will likely find work with another team, but is unlikely to have a prominent role.
