Thomas gets another shot with the Miami Dolphins, this time under head coach Adam Gase. Thomas ran for 1,480 yards in four seasons with the Dolphins with limited carries. After not playing last season, Thomas currently sits atop the Dolphins depth chart at Running Back, but Miami is expected to draft one this weekend.

Thomas has yet to earn a starting role with the Dolphins and that is unlikely to change this season. He has little fantasy value and ran for just 168 yards and two touchdowns last season.

The Broncos also worked out Trent Richardson among other free agents, so it appears that they just want to see if any of these players would make a good impact on their team. It is unknown how likely the Broncos are to sign Thomas. He has 409 carries for 1,480 yards along with 55 receptions for 412 yards and 13 total touchdowns since 2011. Thomas has not played in a NFL game since 2014, so he is unlikely to have a fantasy impact this season.

The Bears are loaded at the running back position in camp and they clearly can't keep every guy. Thomas was just the first domino to fall, while we should assume at least another two to be on the chopping block in the coming weeks. In any event, out of the large crop, only Matt Forte and Jeremy Langford should prove fantasy relevant this season, with Jaquizz Rodgers becoming an option only in the event of a serious injury to either guy.
