Michael Cox
Player News
Giants have waived CB Michael Cox.
Cox was never really much of a fantasy option, so this move shouldn't affect many people's draft strategy's going into the late summer.
Giants placed RB Michael Cox on season ending injured reserve with a fractured leg.
Cox, who had appeared in just four games for the Giants and accrued just 33 rushing yards on four carries, will have to wait until next year to try and make an impact. His season is over and the team will look to add some running back depth in the coming days.
Update: RB Michael Cox fractured the lower part of his left leg, according to the Giants.
It was an ugly looking hit as Cox had his back turned attempting to make a catch and was hit right as he planted his foot. The Giants already lost Peyton Hillis to a concussion in this game and this injury has likely ended Cox\'s season.
Michael Cox is in a wheelchair with his left leg elevated.
Cox\'s injury looked very bad, and it doesn\'t seems like he\'ll be seeing the field in the near future. He will undergo more tests to receive a diagnosis on the injury, but the Giants will be looking to add some depth to their backfield.
