Dexter McCluster (hamstring) was limited at Tuesday's practice.

This appears to be a minor injury at the moment for the third back in the San Diego backfield. McCluster hasn't done much of anything when he's on the field even though he was expected to replace Danny Woodhead in the Chargers offense. HE should remain on waiver wires format-wide.

To help replace Danny Woodhead, Chargers signed former Titans and Chiefs RB Dexter McCluster.

Sounds like the Chargers front office is getting desperate if they think McCluster is any sort of a replacement for anyone, save for the team's water boy. Heck, the team may want to see if Adam Sandler can reprise his Bobby Boucher role and take a crack at the open running back job in San Diego. He's likely to do better than McCluster ever will. Nevertheless, you may as well just monitor this situation to see what kind of reps the team is planning on giving to this chronic underachiever, because someone is going to have to help take some of the load off Melvin Gordon's shoulders. Lord help us if it is McCluster, but it doesn't hurt to watch.

Jets worked out Dexter McCluster on Friday.

This seems like a move more geared special teams than anything else. McCluster has been a special teams specialist for years now but he's always been solid catching passes out of the backfield as well. If he were to sign in New York, the Jets already have two backs in Bilal Powell and Matt Forte that are excellent at catching passes in their own rights.
