Zach Orr
Player News
Zach Orr has decided to retire from football after suffering a serious injury this season.
Late in the regular season, Orr was reportedly playing with what was being labeled a cracked bone in his shoulder. The young linebacker was then placed on IR in Week 17 with a neck injury. This is obviously an unfortunate turn of events, as it appears Orr has become concerned enough with the injury to step away from his promising NFL career. The 24 year old was mostly a backup for Baltimore over his first two seasons in the league, but he really took a leap forward as a starter this season, recording 130 total tackles, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one forced across 15 games.
Ravens placed Zach Orr (neck) on injured reserve.
Orr totaled 91 tackles with one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and three interceptions this season. The Ravens are not competing for a playoff spot so not having him for Week 17 will not have much of an impact.
