Beavers was waived by the Bears earlier this month, and had little difficulty finding a new home. The 2016 fourth-round pick will now compete for a depth role in San Francisco.

Beavers has seemingly struggled to find a solid home in the NFL after being selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The Western Michigan product could easily find a new team elsewhere this offseason, however.

The worry is that the Vikes are going to be a bit short staffed on the offensive line in Week 4, so instead of taking on a commodity that they are unsure about, they figured they would bring back Beavers – a fourth round pick this offseason who didn't make final cuts in camp. He is not expected to start, but he already is familiar with the offense. If needed in a pinch he could get the job done better than an outsider.

This is a bit of a surprising move as Beavers was a 4th round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Even more surprising is that Beavers was the only offensive linemen the Vikings took in the most recent draft, but he failed to impress the coaching staff and the Vikings will look elsewhere for help on the O-Line. Some people thought Beavers was making progress as he was seen working at left tackle over a week ago, but he will look to launch his NFL career with another team.
