Walter Powell
Player News
The Jaguars signed Powell to their practice squad Tuesday.
With all five receivers on the Jaguars' 53-man roster in seemingly good health entering Sunday's AFC championship against the Patriots, Powell isn't in line for a promotion. Instead, the Jaguars will likely evaluate him in practices for the duration of their postseason run before determining whether he's worthy of keeping around for their offseason program.
Bills place Walter Powell (leg) on injured reserve.
He suffered the injury in Week 12 and wound up being carted off the field with what was thought to be a serious injury. Now we have an idea of just how serious. It will take him at least six weeks to come back from it, though likely more, and with just five game left in the regular season for Buffalo, there is no reason to continue to keep the situational receiver on the active roster. He only grabbed 14 balls in nine games this season so it won't be a big loss for the Bills offense.
Walter Powell was helped to the sidelines by trainers after suffering a leg injury in Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Powell is mainly a special teams player for the Bills. Justin Hunter will replace him at the end of the WR depth chart. Neither Powell or Hunter is someone you want to be playing in Fantasy.
Bills signed WR Walter Powell to the active roster.
Powell was one of four players who the Bills signed on Tuesday; the others were Dezmin Lewis, Greg Salas and Jerel Worthy. None of those players are fantasy relevant.
