Vincent Rey
Player News
Rey worked out for the Ravens on Tuesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Rey is among the better free-agent linebackers left on the market and he could serve as valuable depth at inside linebacker for Baltimore. He's shown remarkable durability by playing a full 16 games in seven of nine professional seasons and is only a year removed from averaging a 101-tackle-per-season pace from 2014 through 2017.
Bengals re-signed LB Vincent Rey.
Rey has spent his entire six-year NFL career in Cincinnati. The veteran linebacker has played in every single game for the Bengals since the start of the 2011 season. Rey has made his biggest impact over the past three seasons, racking up 164 total tackles, five sacks and three interceptions while starting 24 games.
Bengals are expected to make major push to retain linebacker Vincent Rey.
Rey has been a valuable backup linebacker for the Bengals since moving up from special teams in 2013. Vontaze Burfict is not a paragon of health, and Rey has filled in spectacularly for him during the last couple of seasons. He played 728 snaps on defense in 2015, down from the 933 he saw in 2014, but also was able to contribute on special teams when needed.
Vincent Rey is being carted off the field with an ankle injury he is doubtful to return.
It is never a good thing when a player has to leave the field in the cart. Fantasy wise we have little worry about whatever the outcome.
