Tyler Patmon
Player News
Patmon was released by Miami on Friday, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
Patmon joined the Dolphins just prior to training camp and was competing for a backup cornerback role. Now a free agent, he could get a shot with another team as depth secondary and special teams player.
Patmon and the Dolphins agreed on an undisclosed contract Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Patmon makes his way back to Miami, following a brief stint with the team in 2015, in which he suited up in just two games. Last season with the Jaguars, the 28-year-old played in 12 games, and made 14 tackles (12 solo). Familiarity with the franchise could be a help as he tries to secure a roster spot.
Tennessee waived former Cowboys CB Tyler Patmon on Tuesday.
Titans have claimed Tyler Patmon off waivers.
After playing his first couple seasons in Dallas, they placed him on waivers and he was claimed by the Titans. Patmon will add depth to the Dolphins secondary and will likely serve as nothing more than a nickel. In 22 career games, Patmon has made 18 tackles, deflected seven passes and made one interception which he happened to take back to the house.
