Trey Williams

Williams was the Dragons' first-round pick and will likely play a prominent role in their backfield.

With Frank Gore and Robert Turbin both firmly ahead of him on the depth chart, there was little playing time available for Williams anyway. Perhaps he will find his way onto another team if injuries strike, which they always do. For now, off to the unemployment line.

In a corresponding move for the Colts, they have signed RB Trey Williams from the Dolphins practice squad. Indianapolis is desperately seeking depth for the last two games of the season and Williams will get a look this week in practice. He has spent time with the Redskin and Dolphin practice squads this year.

Even though the Patriots are thin at running back, the team decided to part ways with Williams. He will become a free agent assuming he clears waivers.
