Jaguars signed WR Trey Quinn to the practice squad.
Quinn, who started six games as Washington's slot receiver last season, was waived by the Football Team yesterday. He'll bring his Michael Scarn touchdown dance to Jacksonville, though a path to playing time for Quinn is hard to find with DJ Chark, Dede Westbrook, Chris Conley, and Laviska Shenault at wide receiver for the Jags.
Washington waived WR Trey Quinn.
This comes as a surprise after Quinn made six starts out of the slot last year. Quinn could draw some interest on waivers. If not, he'll return on Washington's practice squad.
Quinn (concussion) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM Radio reports.
Quinn has missed the last two games, and the Redskins elected to shut him down for the year. The 24-year-old receiver was overshadowed largely by rookies Terry McLaurin and Steven Sims this year, finishing with 26 receptions for 198 yards and a touchdown. Quinn should be good to go for the 2020 season.
Quinn (concussion) won't play in Sunday's game against the Eagles, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
With Quinn and Paul Richardson (hamstring) both ruled out for another week, Washington will roll with Kelvin Harmon and Steven Sims alongside Terry McLaurin in three-wide formations. There's no guarantee Quinn still has a regular role if/when he's deemed healthy enough to play.
