Trent Richardson
Player News
Ravens have waived Trent Richardson.
Well that was fast. He was placed on the PUP list on July 23rd and now just over a week later, he is gone. Richardson is one of the biggest busts in recent draft history after being taken with the third overall pick by Cleveland and then acquired by the Colts for another first round pick. Chuck Jacobs has been signed to fill the roster spot vacated by the running back, who will now have to try and catch on to another roster for training camp. He is a really big long shot to make any teams' roster for the regular season.
Trent Richardson (knee) will begin training camp on the PUP list.
Baltimore placed six players on the PUP list and Trent Richardson was among them. He has been limited due to injuries the last two years and could require an athroscopic knee procedure before the team could look to activate him. Richardson has 2,032 rushing yards in three seasons with the Browns and Colts with 17 touchdowns on 614 carries. He also has 113 receptions for 912 yards and two touchdown for his career. It remains to be seen if Richardson can have any relevancy in fantasy this year, especially with six running backs on the Ravens roster.
Ravens have reported that Trent Richardson will likely need arthroscopic knee surgery.
Richardson was full of optimistic hopes and had reportedly lost weight in the offseason. This will put a damper on his plans. Keep an eye on his timetable to return.
Trent Richardson is dealing with a hamstring injury.
Richardson is currently buried on the Ravens depth chart and in fantasy ADP is he is currently the 60th running back off the board. Even a pick that high seems to be based on name value alone and this injury will not help his efforts to make the Ravens roster or to find his way onto any fantasy teams.
