Travaris Cadet
Player News
Cadet will work out with the Saints on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Cadet suited up for one game with the Panthers in 2018, but has not seen any other action since. The 30-year-old journeyman has played with six different teams since 2012, including two separate stints with the Saints. With Alvin Kamara (ankle) questionable for Week 7, it looks like New Orleans is looking for potential depth options at running back.
Cadet was carted off the field Sunday against the Patriots with a right leg injury.
This one has the look of an injury that will cost the reserve running back some time, as Cadet was fitted with an air cast before being carted off. Mike Tolbert will now serve as LeSean McCoy's top backup for the rest of Sunday's game and quite possibly beyond.
Saints cut RB Travaris Cadet.
Cadet was cut by the Saints on Sunday. Unfortunately he did not make the 53-man roster that saw New Orleans kept 5 running backs.
Saints announce they have re-signed Travaris Cadet.
Cadet spent time with New England, San Francisco and New Orleans last season, playing in the final two games with the Saints. The four-year pro will provide backfield depth for the Saints in 2016.
