Tim Wright

Wright caught just nine passes last season on 16 targets so while this is a tough injury for him on a personal level it should not impact any fantasy football decisions for this upcoming season.

Wright made nine appearances with the Lions last season but made only nine receptions for 77 yards and two touchdowns. It is unclear at the moment what his injury is.

The Lions decided to let Wright test the open market and not tender the restricted free agent tight end. He has been a non-factor since breaking out with the Buccaneers. He will compete for the role of back-up to Eric Ebron with Brandon Pettigrew.

It has been a crazy first few seasons in the NFL for Tim Wright. He had a great rookie campaign in Tampa but then was shipped to New England last off-season where he did not make much of an impact with Gronk standing in his way. He was waived in June and picked up by the Bucs but has now been traded to the Lions. He is competing with three other tight ends in Detroit and is a long-shot to make the opening day roster.
