Terence Newman
Player News
Terence Newman isn't sure if he will play next season.
This news could be huge for the Vikings defense as Newman has been one of the best corners in the league. Newman has always been on the opposing teams best wide-out so the Vikings will hope to get another year from their stud cornerback. More updates will come this coming off-season.
Terence Newman is questionable for Thursday night's game.
Terence Newman missed his first game of the season last week. The Vikings defense has been solid this year and have a tough matchup against Dallas on Thursday night. If Newman plays, the Dallas wide receivers, sans Dez Bryant, will be downgraded slightly.
Terrence Newman will not play Thursday.
Trae Waynes or Captain Munnerlyn will step up to be the second cornerback for the Vikings. They will be tasked with taking on either Golden Tate or Marvin Jones, depending on who Xavier Rhodes covers.
Vikings and CB Terence Newman have agreed on a 1-year, $3 million contract.
The 37-year old is still a very good corner and a key piece of Mike Zimmer's defensive scheme in Minnesota so this is a good get to bring him back into the fold. Newman was shopping his options for the last week but couldn't find anything better so he came back.
