Colts LB Skai Moore has opted out of the 2020 season.
Moore has only appeared in 10 games over the previous two seasons, notching one start. He recorded just four tackles in 2018 and none in his only appearance of 2019. Moore was a long-shot to make the team as a special teams contributor.
Moore was signed to the Colts' active roster Saturday.
Moore has been on the team's practice squad since failing to earn a spot on the 53-man roster during final roster cuts prior to Week 1. He is now in line to contribute on special teams and help provide depth at linebacker going forward.
Moore returned to Thursday's preseason contest against Cincinnati after previously being considered questionable to return with a neck injury, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
The injury seemingly wasn't very serious. Now Moore can resume his battle for a roster spot in Indianapolis' linebacking corps as the deadline for roster cuts looms.
