Sam Acho
Player News
Acho signed with Tampa Bay on Tuesday, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Acho briefly latched on with Buffalo in the preseason but was unable to lock down a job. The nine-year pro will provide depth for the Tampa Bay at linebacker.
Acho was released Saturday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Acho was signed just a few weeks ago, but he couldn't prove himself enough to land a depth role with the team on the defensive line, where the Bills will go with players who may be less experienced but offer more upside.
Acho was signed by the Bills on Sunday.
The Bills have gone the route of adding experience lately, signing veteran defensive backs Kurt Coleman and Captain Munnerlyn, and now they'll add a guy entering his ninth NFL season in Acho, who figures to provide depth along the defensive line and on special teams if he makes the final roster.
Bears agreed to terms with LB Sam Acho on a one-year contract.
It was reported earlier that the Bears and Acho had agreed to terms but now the length of the deal has come to light. He played in 15 games, starting seven, last season but only racked up 39 total stops in the span and figures to be a reserve linebacker and special teams player.
