Ryan Russell

Russell has seen increased defensive snaps as the weeks have progressed but now could be in danger of ending the night early. Look for more updates to come as the game progresses.

Russell was drafted in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys and appeared in just one game with them last season. He was placed on the injured reserve list in December of last year due to an abdominal strain and was released from the Cowboys practice squad two weeks ago.

Russell was a 5th round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. It's still possible he could be claimed off waivers by another team, or he could be brought back on to the Cowboys practice squad. Dallas would like to have him on their practice squad because defense is a glaring weakness they possess. Considering his age he could get a shot with another team.

Russell has not played in a NFL game since week three due to an abdominal injury. In that one game, he did not record any tackles. Russell is just a rookie, so there is plenty of time for him to rehab from the injury and have a productive career. He is not fantasy relevant.
