Giants waived CB Ryan Lewis.
Lewis, 27 tomorrow, played heavy snaps across five games for the Giants last season, starting three contests and seeing action on 271 snaps. He'll be looking for his seventh team since 2019.
Washington claimed CB Ryan Lewis off waivers from the Dolphins.
Lewis played 293 snaps, mostly on the outside, for Miami last season after getting in on 150 plays for the Bills the year before. The Giants and Panthers also put in claims on Lewis, but Washington had first dibs.
Lewis (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Lewis exited Sunday's game due to the hamstring injury and will now miss the final three games of the season. The 25-year-old also spent time with Philadelphia and Indianapolis this season, totaling 28 tackles (20 solo) and one interception in 13 games.
Lewis (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jets.
Lewis was forced to leave the game late in the fourth quarter, so it's unlikely he'll return to action. Expect the team to comment on the specifics of the injury in the coming days ahead of next week's game.
