Ryan Delaire

Delaire bounced back and forth between the active roster and the practice squad for the 49ers throughout 2018, but he's once again been waived by the team. He appeared in two games last season, failing to record any stats in his 23 defensive snaps played.

Delaire has been on the team's practice squad since being waived by the 49ers in mid-October. The 26-year-old appeared in one game during his brief stint with the team, and should remain in a reserve role for Sunday's season finale.

Delaire seemed to be having a good preseason, making his dismissal surprising. The Townsend product will become an unrestricted free agent should he pass through waivers unclaimed.

Delaire has missed the last eight weeks while on I.R. with the knee injury. He is now healthy and is practicing on Tuesday, which is good news for Carolina as their defense gets ready to take some more hits along the defense. It is uncertain if he will be able to play in Week 12 but if he gets a full week of practice in, he should be in line to play.
