Ravens signed OT Ronnie Stanley to a three-year, $60 million contract.
One of the game’s top tackles is now being paid as such, with the $20 million average annual value placing him in the top 10 at the position. The team entered the offseason “confident” they could re-sign their stud tackle, making good on the promise made earlier this year. Even so, Stanley played a full schedule for the first time in his career in 2024. The deal includes a massive $44 million in guaranteed money over the next three seasons.
Ravens GM Eric DeCosta said he is “optimistic” the team will be able to re-sign LT Ronnie Stanley.
DeCosta mentioned that the Ravens are meeting with Stanley’s agents this week. Stanley entered the 2024 season coming off years of injury-related struggles. He played 31 games in the four seasons prior to 2024. Things finally broke in his favor last year and he played a full season for the first time in his career. Stanley also earned his first Pro Bowl nod since 2019. If the Ravens only want to keep Stanley around on a short-term basis, the franchise tag is also an option, though it would be a last resort for the front office. Either way, expect the Ravens to do their best to keep him around.
Ravens reworked LT Ronnie Stanley’s contract.
Baltimore made cap space after redoing Stanley’s deal. He would have counted as a $26.2 million salary cap hit in 2024 — the second highest hit on the team, trailing Lamar Jackson. PFF graded Stanley as 2023’s 28th rated pass-blocking tackle. Stanley, 29, is signed through the 2025 season.
Ravens LT Ronnie Stanley (concussion) practiced on Wednesday.
Stanley exited the Ravens’ Week 15 game with a concussion and was placed in the league’s concussion protocols after the contest. Though Wednesday’s practice was only a walkthrough, it’s still a good sign the Stanley was out there. He has a good shot at suiting up for the Ravens’ Week 16 matchup with San Francisco.
