Ronnie Hillman
Player News
Ronnie Hillman is a healthy scratch for Week 12.
Hillman was claimed off of waivers by the San Diego Chargers earlier this week but it appears as though he's not quite ready to contribute yet as he's still learning the team's playbook and playing catch-up. Hillman played his college football in San Diego, so he's familiar with the area and hopefully he'll be able to provide depth at the running back position this season. The former Bronco carried the ball 18 times for 50 yards in his five games with the Vikings this season.
Chargers claimed Ronnie Hillman off waivers.
After being released by the Vikings, Hillman will now take his subpar play to the Chargers who would like to add some depth behind Melvin Gordon. His strong suit is pass-blocking, so it is possible he relieves Gordon on passing downs, but fantasy owners need to be wary of picking him up. He's been a waste of a roster spot for some time now so don't expect that to change.
Vikings have waived RB Ronnie Hillman.
The woes continue for Hillman, who was once believed to be the next lead back in Denver before falling out of favor with the Broncos. Even with Adrian Peterson on the shelf, Hillman couldn't perform enough to warrant any carries with the Vikings. He may catch on elsewhere or with a practice squad.
Ronnie Hillman is inactive for Week 4.
Hillman just recently signed with the team and is still learning the playbook, so this makes sense. When finally activated, Hillman offers little upside outside of serving as a change of pace back.
