Ragland profiles as a rotational member for the Giants after never materializing as a starter through his first four NFL seasons. The former second-round pick will compete for a starting spot next to Blake Martinez in DC Patrick Graham's zone-heavy defense.

The Bills' former No. 41 overall pick in 2016, Ragland missed the entirety of his rookie year in Buffalo but has since notched 160 tackles and 2.5 sacks as a reserve piece for the Chiefs the past three seasons. He also started in Super Bowl LIV, recording two tackles across 26 defensive snaps. He figures to be a rotational linebacker behind Jarrad Davis.

Ragland recorded a career-low 237 defensive snaps in his third professional campaign, a massive drop-off from the 581 he played a season ago. Ragland did play a significant role in the Chiefs' first two playoff games and may be a candidate to explore opportunities with other clubs as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The Chiefs terrorized Joe Flacco all evening as the team racked up nine sacks, and Ragland's scoop-and-score during the second quarter was about as easy as they come. The 26-year-old played only 25 of 67 defensive snaps Thursday, which is the first time he's played double-digit snaps on defense this season.
