Raven Greene

Greene is coming off a three-year stint in Green Bay that saw him earn just one start. He did manage to snag an interception and five pass defenses last year while serving in a rotational role. Greene is a solid depth signing for the Bucs but doesn't figure to see much playing time on defense right away. Assuming he makes the roster, he'll contribute on special teams to open the year. The Bucs also signed former Broncos linebacker Joe Jones, another special teamer. 

Greene is now an unrestricted free agent. The Packers could re-sign him if his market is dry. The 26-year-old has just one season of NFL production due to injury. He's a complete dice roll and should be paid near the veteran minimum with the salary cap down.

The 24-year-old sustained an ankle injury Week 2 and moved to injured reserve until being activated Saturday, but he didn't see the field in San Francisco following the extended layoff. Greene was seeing starter's-level snaps as the team's third safety prior to the injury, and he should enter training camp with a solid chance to reclaim that role with Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage working as the starters.

The 24-year-old landed on injured reserve with the ankle injury after Week 2, but he returned to practice at the start of January and will be able to play in Sunday's NFC Championship Game at San Francisco. Greene would typically serve as the team's third safety, but he may not see significant playing time after the long layoff and given that the Packers are currently healthy in the secondary.
