Randy Starks
Player News
Randy Starks is questionable to return with a knee injury.
Starks has had a rather quiet season statistically, but he does a good job of clogging the line and freeing the linebackers to make plays. Ohio native John Hughes III is Starks's backup.
Browns signed DT Randy Starks to a 2-year deal.
With the signing of Ndamukong Suh, Starks would have been relegated to a back-up role if he stayed in Miami and the team just wasn't going to pay that much for a reserve. He should do well with the Browns and serve as a solid interior choice who can also rush the passer when needed.
The Dolphins cut Randy Starks Wednesday.
With Ndamukong Suh now plugging the middle, there is little reason to retain the 31-year old Starks who served as a part-time defensive lineman. He'll try and peddle his wares around the NFL over the next few weeks.
Randy Starks registered three tackles with one sack in the Dolphins 37-24 loss to the Jets on Sunday.
In his 11th NFL season Starks finishes 2014 with 28 tackles and 4.5 sacks as the veteran linemen continues to be one of the more stable producers among the Dolphins defense over the past few years.
