Rakeem Nunez-Roches (neck) has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 13 against the Cowboys.
Nunez-Roches picked up a stinger in the second half, and the 31-year-old defender won’t be able to continue. It’s another loss to the defensive line in a game where the Giants have already lost Dexter Lawrence (elbow) and DJ Davidson (knee) in Week 13.
Giants signed DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches, formerly of the Bucs, to a three-year, $12 million contract.
Rakeem Nunez-Roches is the first of what will be many unrestricted free agents to flee the post-Brady Bucs. Entering his ninth NFL season, Nunez-Roches has mostly functioned as a rotational player and will likely retain the role in New York. He started ten games for the down-bad Tampa defense in 2022, recording two sacks and six tackles for loss. While it's a three-year deal, Nunez-Roches' contract provides an out after two years. The deal does include $7.5 million in guaranteed money.
Bucs re-signed DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches to a two-year, $5 million contract.
The deal includes $2.25 million guaranteed. Nunez-Roches was an important part of the Bucs' Vita Vea-less defensive line last season before Vea returned late in the year. He will be rotational 2021 depth who can start in a pinch.
Bucs re-signed DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches.
The deal is worth "up to" $2.25 million, with $1 million guaranteed. A reserve lineman, Nunez-Roches' 292 snaps last season were the second most of his career.
