The veteran actually had a decent shot at making the team after doing a nice job as a depth signee in 2018, but he also had no chance of starting and the Bills have plenty of young guys to take his place, while a new veteran immediately enters the fold as the team signed Kurt Coleman on Friday. Bush has played in the league since 2011 and put together a nice career after going undrafted in 2010.

Bush, 32, played for four teams, starting his career in Denver before spending five of his next six seasons with the Saints with a one-year stop with the Lions in between. He played last season in Buffalo and made 91 career appearances mostly as a third safety and special teams ace. The Bills signed S Kurt Coleman to take Bush's roster spot.

He's embraced the opportunity after the Lions chose not to re-sign James Idhedigbo and Isa Abdul-Quddus, but instead ink him to a one-year-deal with incentives if he can become a full-time starter - something he's never done. If he can continue his solid play, he'll look to sure-up the Lions defensive unit, one that played extremely poorly last season.
