Cardinals signed CB Quinton Dunbar to the practice squad.
Dunbar had been toiling away as a free agent since he was released from the Lions mid-camp. He missed 10 games last year — his own fault — due to armed robbery charges and knee surgery and will look to prove himself amid Arizona's depth chart. He's a viable starter when healthy.
Bills worked out CB Quinton Dunbar on Tuesday.
The Bills are looking for help in the secondary, as they also worked out DB Damarious Randall on Tuesday. Dunbar spent the offseason with the Lions after signing in April, but he was released once Detroit signed Nickell Robey-Coleman in mid-August. It's worth monitoring whether the Bills add a defensive back – Dunbar, Randall, or someone else – in the near future.
Lions released CB Quinton Dunbar.
The recent addition of Nickell Robey-Coleman to this cornerback group made Dunbar expendable. The 29-year-old veteran was listed behind sophomore Jeff Okudah on the depth chart and had missed over a week of practice time during camp for what coach Dan Campbell called "personal reasons." There's likely more to this story than meets the eye. Dunbar will look to sign elsewhere prior to Week 1.
Lions signed CB Quinton Dunbar, formerly of the Seahawks, to a one-year contract.
Dunbar, 29 in July, was acquired last offseason by the Seahawks from Washington in exchange for a fifth-rounder. Dunbar wanted No. 1 corner money and never got it before going on to miss 10 games with Seattle last year. He’s now settling for a one-year, prove-it deal and will team with Jeff Okudah after the Lions cut starters Desmond Trufant and Justin Coleman earlier this offseason.
