Phil Dawson

Dawson, most recently with the Cardinals, hasn't played since November of last year, when he was placed on injured reserve due to a hip injury. Now, after 20 years in the league, the veteran has decided to call it a career.

Dawson has been a steady performer for the 49ers, but at 41 years of age, this is likely his last long term contract in the NFL. Assuming the Chip Kelly led offense becomes more of a scoring threat, he is an excellent PK to take in last rounds of your fantasy drafts.

The 49ers have dealt with plenty of roster turnover over the past several seasons, but Dawson has stuck with the team over the past three seasons. Now 41, Dawson probably is nearing the end of his career, though he's still managed to be one of the better and more dependable kickers in the league. Dawson made 24 of 27 field-goal attempts last season for an 88.9 percent success rate.

Dawson finished the regular season with his best performance since Week 6, as he was managed to account for 13 of the 49ers' 19 points scored. At the age of 40 there is really no telling if Dawson will give it a go looking ahead to 2016, but if this was the last game of his career, he certainly can leave the league with hs head high after a productive career.
