Perrish Cox

With corner DeShawn Shead tearing is ACL against the Falcons, the team decided to add some depth to the position. Perrish Cox is familiar with Pete Carroll's scheme, well somewhat, since he spent a month with the team a few seasons ago. He won't be viable in any IDP formats next season.

Kalan Reed has been promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster to replace Cox. Cox gave up 5 TDs, which was third-most in the NFL. The veteran CB has struggled all year.

As fast as Cox was added to the injury report, he was removed just as fast. He spent just one day on the injury report and has already passed the concussion protocol. Cox has been solid all season long for Tennessee as he's made 31 tackles, picked two passes off and has deflected seven more.

The defensive back has been officially ruled out for Week 8 against the Jaguars after being carted off due to the concussion in Week 7. Brian McCain is expected to start opposite Jason McCourty. Cox may have a chance to return in Week 9, but even that could be considered a long shot at this point.
