Nickerson's only game action for Green Bay last year occurred against the Buccaneers, recording just two snaps on special teams before suffering a season-ending hamstring injury. Minnesota also signed veteran OL Evin Ksiezarczyk following this week's minicamp tryout.

Nickerson spent the summer in Jaguars camp but was part of final cuts. The slot corner has 20 games of NFL experience and will round out the back of Green Bay's cornerback depth chart.

Nickerson spent the first seven games of the season in Jacksonville, but he hasn't yet taken the field this year. The 2018 sixth-round now gets a second chance on the 53-man roster following the Jaguars' decision to waive Breon Borders.

Nickerson was waived in order to make room for undrafted rookie Joe Giles-Harris on the active roster. Nickerson did not take the field across seven games with the Jaguars.
