Miles Austin
Player News
Jets hired Miles Austin as WRs coach.
An offensive quality control coach, Austin worked alongside Robert Saleh with the 49ers in 2019 before spending 2020 out of the league. Still only 36 years old, Austin will provide a recent perspective to a promising but unproven Jets receiver corps, one highlighted by second-year pro Denzel Mims. Ausin experienced some high highs and low lows during his 10-year career, seeing it all as a Pro Bowler and chronic injury sufferer.
Miles Austin has been released by the Eagles.
Austin hasn't had a real impact for the Eagles this season and they have deemed his services no longer necessary after being a healthy scratch on Sunday against the Patriots. It's hard to imagine that will someone will sign him as his skills are clearly very diminished at this point in his career.
Miles Austin is a healthy inactive for Week 13.
Austin has just two catches in four games since Philadelphia's bye, so this is not a huge shock. Austin could be cut Monday or Tuesday, as there is little reason to waste a roster spot on a 31-year-old receiver if he is not going to be active on Sundays.
Miles Austin caught one pass on three targets for 27 yards and no touchdowns in Philadelphia’s 33-27 win over Dallas.
Austin was held to just one catch against Dallas but appears to be the Eagles second wide receiver thanks in large part to injuries and inconsistency among the rest of the group. He is not a viable fantasy option outside of extremely deep leagues that play four or five receivers.
