Pierce spent all eight seasons with the Ravens. He played in 99 games since entering the league in 2016, sitting out the 2020 COVID season. Pierce started just one game in 2024. He’ll retire with 9.5 sacks and 19 tackles for loss over eight seasons.

Pierce has missed the previous five games for the Ravens but the Week 14 bye provided enough time for him to return to action against the Giants. Pierce returns to bolster a Ravens defense already allowing the fewest rush yards per game at just 82.7.

His 21-day window opens now. A 355-pound run stuffer, Pierce’s return — should it be immediate — would be a consequential development for the Ravens ahead of Sunday afternoon’s matchup with Saquon Barkley and the Eagles. He is on the practice field today.

John Harbaugh told reporters that Pierce’s injury is not expected to be season-ending, though an expected return-to-play timeline was not provided. Pierce must miss at least four games before he is eligible to return, making the Ravens’ Week 13 game against the Eagles his earliest possible return date.
