Michael Campanaro
Player News
Michael Campanaro has been released by the Ravens.
With a hamstring injury hampering his performance in recent days, hopeful receiver Michael Campanaro was released Saturday by the Baltimore Ravens. He did show great promise and ability in preseason this year, and will likely find a home elsewhere.
Michael Campanaro is not practicing Monday.
Can Campanaro stay healthy? That's the question, considering he has played in just eight games since being selected in the seventh round of the 2014 draft. Campanaro will have to fight for a spot in this deep wide receiver core and being off the field is not going to help his case. He has to stay healthy to have a shot.
Michael Campanaro has completely recovered from his calf injury.
Muscle injuries are nothing new for the wideout as he has dealt with several of them since being drafted in 2014. The Ravens however, love his abilities in the slot and return game when he is indeed on the field for them. He has said in the past this offseason that he is motivated coming into the 2016 season to prove that he belongs in the deep wide receiver core that Baltimore has. If you are in a league that counts return yards, he is worth a look as a flier.
Michael Campanaro is dealing with a tweaked calf muscle which kept him out of OTA's.
Whether he's healthy or not, Campanaro is looking at another season in which he doesn't play a big role with the team. During his three professional seasons he's caught 12 passes and has returned five punts and three kickoffs. It's a safe bet to say he won't be a very valuable fantasy commodity this year.
