Menelik Watson
Player News
Menelik Watson (calf) is expected to be inactive Week 7.
The Raiders starting tackle will not play this week due to a calf injury. He was considered to be questionable and it was thought that he had a chance to suit up this week against the Jaguars, but he will be inactive today for the fourth straight week. Oakland's offensive line has allowed a league-low seven sacks so far this season, so Watson's presence shouldn't be missed too much today.
Menelik Watson (calf) has returned to practice on Wednesday.
Watson has played in only two games this season and has yet to log a tackle in 2016. Although he is practicing, we will have to wait and see if that correlates to on-the-field production in his first action in over a month.
OT Menelik Watson is questionable to return with a groin injury.
Watson has suffered an injury during the season opener against the Saints. His return to the game is questionable.
Menelik Watson is ahead of Austin Howard for the starting right tackle job.
Menelik Watson is firmly in the lead for the Raiders' starting right tackle job. Watson has been ahead of Austin Howard since training camp opened. He would have been the starter last year but Howard filled in after Watson tore his Achilles'. Del Rio hasn't announced a starter yet but it's going to be Watson as long as he stays healthy.
