Unger recently suffered a foot injury and is expected to open the regular season on the Physically Unable to Perform list, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Unger, 30 years old, agreed to a three-year extension with the Saints worth at least $21 million. Saints head coach Sean Payton long coveted Unger prior to acquiring him before last season, so this comes as no surprise. Unger is a two time Pro Bowler.
