Giants signed OL Max Garcia, formerly of the Cardinals, to a one-year contract.
Garcia, a former fourth-round draft pick by the Broncos, started 11 games for Arizona in 2021. He has 39 regular season starts at left guard, nine at right guard, and four at center over his seven years in the league. He joins a New York offensive line graded by Pro Football Focus as the league's third worst pass-blocking unit in 2021.
Cardinals re-signed OL Max Garcia to a one-year contract.
The 28-year-old made seven appearances in 2019, zero of which were starts. An ex-starter with the Broncos, Garcia should be able to keep his 53-man roster spot for another season.
Garcia (toe) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Steelers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Garcia was limited during Thursday and Friday's practices, and he'll work in a reserve role for Sunday's game.
The Cardinals activated Garcia (knee) from the PUP list Wednesday, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports.
Garcia recovered from the torn ACL he incurred last November and he has practiced with the team for three weeks. He'll now be ready to suit up Sunday against the Buccaneers. Garcia will be the primary backup to Justin Pugh at left guard.
