Martin missed the entirety of the 2018 with a toe injury, but he's been able to play all three preseason games.

Martin spent the 2018 season on injured reserve with a toe injury -- which seems to still be an issue -- that he sustained in the preseason while playing for Dallas. It's unsure how much longer the USC product will need to recover, but it seems that he'll have an opportunity to fight for a roster spot this offseason.

Martin's season is officially over with San Francisco nowhere close to the playoff picture. Martin was placed on IR so the 49ers could make room on the 53-man roster for RB Raheem Mostert, who is being promoted from the practice squad for Sunday's finale against Seattle.

This is good news for the 49ers whose offensive line will be in for a long day Sunday when they face the vaunted Seattle defense.
