Mitchell ended up missing two games late in the season due to a knee injury and it appears as though he is taking things easy in practice today as he participated in a limited basis. With another week and a half to go until the Super Bowl, it makes sense that Mitchell would use the additional time to rest up and heal in an effort to be one-hundred percent for the Super Bowl. The rookie wideout from Georgia came on strong in the second half of the season, catching four touchdowns in a three-game span.

The rookie out of Georgia is recovering from a knee injury so it's uncertain whether or not he will be hampered at all against Pittsburgh. With Amendola and Hogan nursing injuries also, it makes Julian Edelman the Patriots WR to own for Sunday. The rookie Mitchell had a solid showing in his rookie season with 32 grabs for 401 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games.
Malcolm Mitchell (knee) was limited at practice on Thursday.
Mitchell has been limited this week in practice after missing the last game against Houston with the knee ailment. The limited nature of the practice sessions will likely give him a questionable tag for the game but in all likelihood he should play against Pittsburgh. With the way the Patriots offense has been rolling of late, he may not factor that much into the game plan even if he goes.
